A Library for Us All
The heart of our town, Friend Memorial Public Library in Brooklin is both an important architectural structure and a central institution in our lives. At this time, our library needs our attention. As the chair of the capital campaign, I fully embrace this task. Yet it takes, of course, a village because the purpose of preserving our library is for us all.
The library we all value has pressing needs, including infrastructure and maintenance, a too-small physical space, and rising operating expenses. We plan to expand our services by developing new programs for children, enlarging our collections, and upgrading our technology. We also look forward to enhancing the library’s events, both indoors and in a beautiful new outdoor space. It is time, once again, to expand the physical structure of the library. Finally, we must increase our endowment to help cover rising annual operating expenses.
Please join us in the important work of preserving Friend Memorial Public Library for our community and for future generations. This beloved institution needs your help!
