Naming Opportunities

We invite you to become a part of our capital campaign by considering our named giving opportunities, allowing you to leave a lasting family legacy or honor someone special in a meaningful way.

By naming a space within our library, you not only contribute to the enhancement of our facilities but also create a tangible tribute that reflects your values and connection to our community.

Your generosity will be celebrated for generations to come.

Please contact our campaign chair, Robert Baird to discuss via phone (801) 556-2348) or email (campaign@friendml.org).

“This is a town that reads. But a public library is not a static affair. Every year if it is not to retrogress, it must grow in service and use. Every year it must add more books.... Every year we must spend more time and money if we are to progress.”

— Katharine White, Brooklin resident, writer and editor for The New Yorker

Raising At Least $2.5 Million

Exceeding this goal will enable us to make additional improvements, add even more services, and more effectively secure the future of our library.

Currently, the campaign goals are:

— at least $1.5 MILLION to be allocated to building maintenance, renovation, and expansion
— at least $1 MILLION to be added to our endowment from which we annually draw a small percentage (mandated by state law not to exceed 5%) to cover operating expenses.

Friend Memorial Public Library is a 501c(3) charitable organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

“Public libraries are the heart and soul of any community. They are a place to read and think and browse and dream.”
